Putting Students First
Encinitas has been more than the community I've served for over three decades—it's where I've built lifelong friendships, meaningful relationships, and a deep connection to the people who make this community special.
As a parent, educator, and longtime public servant, I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in a safe, supportive, and academically excellent school.
After 31 years serving the Encinitas community through the Encinitas Fire Department, most recently as Deputy Fire Chief, I am ready to continue that service in a new way—as a member of the Encinitas Union School District Board.
I am running to bring experienced leadership, thoughtful decision-making, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and a commitment to putting students first.

For more than three decades, my career has required leadership, teamwork, accountability, fiscal responsibility, emergency decision-making, and stewardship of public resources.

As a community college adjunct professor, I teach and mentor students and see firsthand the value of high expectations, strong foundations, dedicated teachers, and student preparation.

Recruit, retain, and support exceptional educators and staff with the tools, resources, professional support, and working environment they need to succeed.

A Lifetime of Service
Public service has been at the center of my professional life for more than three decades. At 17 years old, I became a Fire Explorer. That experience confirmed what I already suspected—I wanted a career dedicated to serving others.
For 31 years, I have had the privilege of serving the Encinitas community through the Encinitas Fire Department. Over the course of my career, I served in operational, training, emergency management, and leadership positions, ultimately serving as Deputy Fire Chief.

From Public Safety to Education
As a community college adjunct professor, I teach and mentor future firefighters preparing to enter the profession that has meant so much to me.
Teaching has reinforced my belief that students thrive when expectations are high, educators are supported, families are engaged, and students know the people around them genuinely want them to succeed.
The Next Chapter of Service
Retiring from the fire department does not mean retiring from public service. I am running because I believe my experience as a parent, firefighter, educator, and public servant can bring a valuable perspective to the Encinitas Union School District Board.
